A new version is up with fixes for the bugs reported to me so far. Thank you so much to Wildfire, Uninventive and spyro40 for pointing out the bugs.
However, one of them was nasty. See, Twine’s debugging tools are absolute horseshit. In particular, there’s no way in debug mode to set a variable. Furthermore, I can’t just easily go in and edit a save file like I could with the Lua versions of Scarlet Moon. So if I want to test a particular path, and I don’t happen to have a save file with the right flags set, I need to add some commands in the code itself to set it. Me being lazy, I tossed in a set command at the very beginning of Episode 2 (i.e. the first page of new content) that set the waitress flag to false, so I could test the Natalie girlfriend but no waitress path. I stupidly left that in.
So, if you are wanting to play the waitress path, you’re going to need to load a save from *before* Episode 2. Any of your current Episode 2 saves aren’t going to work, because those have set the waitress flag to false.
In the future, I’ll look to add a “Debug” section where I can set whatever arbitrary flags I need to set, and toss a Debut link into Other Customizations or something so that I don’t bork people’s save files.

Alright, so the first half of Scarlet Moon 2: Episode 2 is out! You can play it Right Here!
In this first half we get:
1. Our first introduction in this game to Midnight, complete with the ability to continue your romance if you romanced her in the first game.
2. A beach episode, because it is (apparently) a time honored tradition in the Scarlet Moon universe to put Juliana in a teeny tiny itsy bitsy teeny weenie bikini at the start of the game.
3. Plenty of disciplinary spankings, and even a few fun spankings (especially if you’re dating Midnight or Natalie).
4. The first hint of Succubus’ nefarious plan. Wooo! What is she up to? Play and…well, you won’t find out here probably. But in the next update!
I’ve also removed the AI generated pinups. While I appreciate that actually seeing my cute little heroines gave me the kick in the pants to get me working on this, I’ve soured pretty hard on generative AI since it’s been introduced. Got nothing against people who indulge in it, but I didn’t real feel like I needed it in my game. Plus, it’s kind of limiting. It’s very difficult to have any sort of elaborate or detailed costume when you need to keep it to something that these AI image generators can actually create.
And they just Could. Not. Capture Midnight. So, yeah. No AI slop here!
Top priority will be bug fixes of course. But in the meantime, I’ll also work on converting Episode 3 of the Scandalous Scarlet Moon to the Twine format. Once the bug reports settle down, I’ll make the game available on itch.io as well.
Also! Exciting month for people. I have finally decided to go ahead and make Dianne’s Promotion available as well. Robin Pearce has alas vanished off the internet, and I don’t want their *incredible* spanking gamebook Dianne’s Promotion to go with it. You can download Here!
You can also find it in the Other Spanking Games tab. The zip file includes the gamebook in a couple of E-Book formats, a text version that is identical to the Ebook versions (just something you could open in Notepad or whatever if you wanted), and a text version that has been tweaked by yours truly. The version I tweaked has all the same content, except I replaced the canes (meh) with paddles (yum!), gave Dianne a big rump (duh!) and put her in a thong (naughty, naughty girl!). Because I have Needs.

Not a whole lot to say here. I’ve been working on Scarlet Moon 2 here and there. Wrote some getting-into-the-surf shenanigans, and now I’ve started working on the volleyball shenanigans. I still expect to be ready to release sometime in September or October.
Scarlet Moon and Scarlet Moon 2 were de-indexed on itch.io for a while thanks to a bunch of Australian prudes. But they’re back up since I don’t charge anything for my games and thus the Australian prudes have no leverage over me. Hahahaha! Take that you asswipes!

Anyway, itch.io isn’t my primary channel for communication and distribution anyway, so I’ve been mostly unaffected by all that nonsense.
This was actually a reasonably productive month! I have one scene left to write (some beach shenanigans for players who aren’t waiters/waitresses), and then I figure we’ll be at a good spot for the first part of episode 2. It’s a pretty bottom-focused episode, alas. Midnight and Madame Rossi are the dommiest dommes who ever dommed in my game, and the most of the content here involves them so, you know. Alas, Succubus (who *wishes* and *thinks* she’s the dommiest domme who ever dommed) does not make an appearance just yet. We’ll get to contend with her next update, I promise!
Anyway, I’m thinking there’s a good chance I’ll have a new update now by the end of August.
Also, I swear to god Baldur’s Gate 2 was written by spankos. I’m replaying it (trying out the Extended Edition) for the first time in well over a decade, and running into spankings everywhere:
1. There’s a sailor in one of the taverns on the Docks District that sings an entire song about a (female!) captain spanking her first mate.
2. Korgan Bloodaxe muses about how much he’d like to take Nalia’s Aunty over his knee when you meet her. Of course, this being Korgan it’s kind of gross and disturbing rather than sexy (though, if your fantasies involve guys like Korgan taking women like Nalia’s Aunty down a peg or a dozen, it’d probably be hella sexy. No judgements). He also threatens to spank Aerie when talking to the owner of the Copper Coronet about other entertainments.
3. I haven’t seen this one again yet, but I know that in a tavern in the Bridge District(?) I think, a cook threatens to give you a bare bottom spanking if you don’t leave her kitchen. Alas, repeatedly pestering her does not, in fact, lead to any bare bottom spankings.

Keep in mind that at this point my character is level 10 (the game starts with you level 7ish, so it’s still pretty early in the game). She’s fought trolls, undead, slavers and a lunatic mage. She is currently a freshly minted noblewoman in charge of a keep. She is wielding a magical sword, wearing magical plate armor, and carrying a giant magical shield. Her shield is glowing with magic.
Does that stop Uda from threatening her with a good, sound spanking?
No.
If Uda tried to pull Annie there over here knee and spank her, do you think Annie would be able to stop her?

This has not been my greatest month. It has, if anything, been negatively productive, as I ripped out all the stuff I’ve been putzing at the past few months. *sigh*
Still, that happens sometimes. Especially considering how busy I’ve been the past month or so in RL, I just haven’t had the mental energy to work on the game much. Plus, my interest in spanking has been at a bit of a low point recently. It’s not something I’m worried about. My interest in things tend to wax and wane, and right now my interest is on other things mostly. I’ll try to poke at it for a bit here and there, but I’m sure that before too long I’ll be into it again and start writing.
Hopefully, things will also settle down some.
Maybe I’ll take some time to read some of my old Silver Age comics this month. Haven’t read those in a while, and they are my main source of inspiration!

Chugging away. I’ve worked on the next episode some this month, just chipping away at the beach scene. My goal is to have the beach wrapped up by the end of this month. Then we’ll have some actual, you know, Plot with the supervillain of the week year and everything. No idea yet on when the next episode will be ready.

I made some pretty steady progress last month. I’ve got the dating-Midnight-while-working-variation of the beach scene. I’m currently working on the dating-Natalie-while-working variation. Then we’ll have a working variation, and then not-working. Whew! After that, we’ll actually kick the main plot off, finally! Lots of writing still to be done, so no idea when it’ll next be ready. But at this rate, probably no earlier than September.

Sorry, I’m over two weekends late on my update. Haven’t spent a ton of time on Scarlet Moon this month, been distracted by Real Life and vanilla nonsense. But I have worked on it some. I’ve wrapped up Natalie’s scene, and am currently working on the beach scene.
No idea yet when the first part of episode 2 will be available, but it’ll be a while.

I’m chipping away at Episode 2. I have the scene with Midnight written, as well as (most of) a scene with Natalie. Both feature erotic spankings. The scene with Natalie is a *lot* less involved, but then a good chunk of Midnight’s scene is introducing her, giving the player options for reacting to her, and developing the overarching plot a bit. The scene with Natalie is just some straightforward hanky-spanky if you’re dating her.
Next step is a beach scene, because of course. I’m contractually obligated to have at least one scene per game of Juliana flouncing around the beach in a string thong bikini. At that point, we’ll finally kick off the main plot of the second episode and go from there. So, we’re still a ways away from any content update.
However! sora666 was kind enough to create a simple walkthrough of To Cage A Magpie. I’ve included a link to it along with Magpie’s entry in [i]Other Spanking Games[/i], so go ahead and check it out if you need to get unstuck.
Uploaded a new version of Scarlet Moon 2: Eclipse Rising with a fix for a bug kindly pointed out by VikingSpanko. There was an <> block missing right before the end of the episode, so things were bugging out. That has hopefully been fixed now.
